Imagine waking up in your cozy cabin as golden sunlight filters through the trees. Just outside your door, your favorite morning drink—whether it’s rich coffee, soothing tea, creamy cocoa, or a zesty ginger tonic—awaits you. You step onto the deck, greeted by the soft sounds of nature and the flutter of hummingbirds dancing in the morning light. You pause. You breathe it in. You’re already beginning to soften, to settle, to recharge.

As your body gently awakens, you wander down the walking path, taking in the soothing symphony of birdsong before joining the group for a nourishing and delicious breakfast—fueling you for a day of renewal and discovery.

 

After breakfast, we gather at the temple for Morning Circle—an intimate space to connect with others, speak from the heart, and explore what’s truly alive in you. With intention, you move into a mindful labyrinth walk just outside the temple, deeply nurtured by the flow of the river and the lush rainforest surrounding you.

 

You find a quiet nook beneath a tree to journal—letting your heart’s whisperings find their way to the page.

Later, Chef Luis prepares another creative and colorful lunch, served on the open-air patio with stunning views. In the afternoon, you opt for a soul-soothing massage followed by a luxurious nap, giving your body what it needs.

 

You rejoin the group for a meditative art experience—Mindfulness Mandala—designed to quiet the mind and ignite creativity. As the day begins to wind down, a stroll along one of the guided forest paths stirs both your senses and your appetite.

 

You return to a five-star, plant-based dinner crafted with love—nourishment for your body, mind, and spirit. The day ends with restorative yoga and a sound bath ceremony in the temple, gently guiding you into deep rest and peaceful sleep under the stars.

I had the opportunity to attend the Verdesana retreat in December.  It was such an inspiring and fulfilling week.  We participated in Women's Circles that made you contemplate and consider your life choices and your future goals.
     The meditations were thought provoking and challenged your thoughts.  The sharing was inspiring.  It gave me the opportunity to broaden my thinking and consider so many alternatives that were shared.
      The hikes were beautiful.  I experienced the joy and love of nature again.  It gave me  time to stop and observe the beautiful flowers and amazing green ferns and trees.
      The sharing in groups made me self reflect and the journaling made me capture my true feelings.  I had the time to really spend time with myself.  I also loved the connections I made with all the participants.  We became so close.  I still keep in touch with some of them.
      I set goals for myself when I returned home and I have continued to journal and meditate.  It has truly changed my daily routine and has made such a welcome change in my life.  I highly recommend the retreat.  It is a fantastic life experience!

The retreat on the surface was a tough topic for me. I tend to be go go go and not want to sit still do yoga or meditate. I found the art projects particularly challenging. However, I committed and participated fully and the artwork I created sits next to my desk and I see it every day.

My personal mantra has stuck with me - being useful, I am happy, I am
Living my best life. It’s a work in progress of course - but it has stuck and I’m living into that daily !

To step away from the noise and return to what’s real — your breath, your body, your inner knowing. At our Women’s Mindful Recharge Retreat, we gather in nature and sisterhood to rest, reconnect, and remember who we are.

This is sacred space — a place to exhale, to feel held, to come home to yourself.

I’m Brenda — a Professional Artist, TQ Certified Coach, and Certified Mindfulness Facilitator trained by renowned teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. I bring a unique blend of creativity, trauma-informed presence, and deep compassion to this work. With a background in social work and law — and a personal journey of healing from complex PTSD — I know how powerful it is to be truly seen, heard, and supported. My passion is helping women return to their inner wisdom and rediscover their voice.


And I’m Lisa — a Leadership Coach and lifelong seeker of meaning and growth. I help women break through mindset blocks and navigate major life transitions like divorce, career shifts, retirement, and loss to navigate their authentic paths. Seventeen years ago, I relocated to Costa Rica and rebuilt my life from the ground up.

The most profound shift I’ve made is from achieving to being—my personal path of letting go of external expectations to become the woman I choose to BE and to live from inner wisdom and a profound sense of AWE!  Now, I guide women to do the same: to reconnect with their truth and create lives that feel authentic, grounded, joyous, deeply fulfilling and free.

Together, we’ve created a space where you don’t have to fix, prove, or push — only soften, receive, and remember your power.
